Kaidan had chemo yesterday and she did very well. It was "easy" because she didn't need a backpoke. Can I just say...she is so cute!! She has the best attitude and I'm sure she makes the nurses day when she is up there. It's a lesson for all of us, I don't think I could be that upbeat all the time if I were in her situation.

Her blood counts look good...too good...if they are still up next month, they will want to increase her chemo. I have serious reservations about that. The want her ANC below 1500 and last month it was 1800 and yesterday it was 2000. I worry that if they increase her chemo she will plummet and end up at 0's again. I'm perfectly content with 2000 if it means she is feeling well and leading a "normal" life. We'll see... Her ferritin hasn't come back from the lab yet, so I'm not sure if that one is still high. I'll update again if anything changed with that one.

Other than that, it's just the same old. Oral chemo daily, IV chemo and a backpoke with chemo on Dec. 10, she is also getting a MRI on the 10th to check the progression of her AVN.
On a side note, Preslee has been home sick since Monday. It's not very often that Kaidan is off to school and Preslee is the one on the couch. I've had her into the doctor once, but I think I may need to take her back this afternoon because she's getting worse. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks as always for your continued support. We are forever grateful!

continued from last update...

Kaidan's ferritin levels came back at 1619. This is still high, but down about 300 from last month, so she's heading the right direction!! I also forgot to mention that she gained about a pound from last month, so we are very excited about that as well!!

Preslee is still very sick, her fever has hit 102. The doctor said just to watch her, she probably just has a virus. She's napping now, so hopefully she'll start feeling better soon.

The flu????...continued from last 2 updates...

I think the flu is going around the Sudbury house. Preslee is super sick and her fevers have been up to 103.3 and now Cash is sounding like he's losing his voice, he's looking pale and I just changed a doosie of a diaper... Kaidan started complaining of a stomach ache and a headache right before she went to bed, so I'll bet you can guess what I'm praying for tonight!! I really hope Kaidan doesn't get sick, but at least her counts are good if she does, that will help her to fight it off. She's had her flu shot already, the rest of us were supposed to get ours today, but I rescheduled for next week because Preslee was so sick already.

So anyway...that's what is going on around here...and can I just say...WHY ME??!!?? Just kidding...things could be worse, so I'll try to only complain a little bit.

For those of you who were able to help us out with our spur of the moment stadium cleaning, THANK YOU! She called me last minute and needed a group, so we appreciate everyone helping us out.

Things are going well. Preslee had her last soccer game today. She scored 2 goals and her team won!! She was very excited. She's a great soccer player. She is also moving up a level in gymnastics, so she's looking forward to that as well.

Kaidan is doing good, she has thrush, so we are glad it isn't strep. She's started an antibiotic for the thrush, so she should start feeling better from that soon. She's complaining more than usual about leg pain, but I don't think it's too bad right now. She was able to do a bit of trick-or-treating tonight, so at least she has some candy to snack on for the next few days!

Cash and Porter are doing great! Cash is too much fun and a lot of work, all at the same time. Porter is moving around like crazy, and growing lots too. I don't think he's been feeling too well lately either, but I'm not sure why. He spit up...a lot...everytime I fed him today and he's been pretty fussy. He's sleeping now, so hopefully he'll feel better tomorrow.

Anyway, I just wanted to update quickly and let everyone know we are doing well. Thanks for all of your support, especially after my update a couple of days ago. I know it was dreary, but it was just one of those days where I wasn't sure if I could make it through another one...but, I did and all is well now!! Thanks again.
